Institute of Life Sciences (ILS) was established in the year 1989 as an autonomous institute under the administrative control of Govt. of Odisha. In 2002, it was taken over by the Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India. The Prime Minister of India Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee dedicated the institute to the nation in July 2003. Institute of Life Sciences has a broad vision of carrying out high-quality multidisciplinary research in the area of life sciences.
Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, an autonomous institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India invites applications from the Indian Nationals to join in the following project positions.
The interested/eligible candidates may download application form from our website ils.res.in and attend the interview with the complete application form along with attested copies of mark sheets and certificates, age proof, caste certificate (if any), along with the experience certificate. Incomplete applications and applications without the above mentioned documents will be rejected.
Age Limit : 35 years as on 08.11.2023. An age relaxation will be given as per Govt. of India rules
Eligibility : B.Sc. / 3 years Diploma in Engineering Technology. The applicant should have at least 1 year of experience and knowledge in a reputed organization.
Desirable : Experience of working in animal breeding, rearing, tissue processing and staining etc.

Subsequently, they should attend the interview with a duly filled application form, accompanied by attested copies of their mark sheets, certificates, age proof, caste certificate (if applicable), and an experience certificate. It’s important to emphasize that this position is temporary and linked to the project’s duration. Candidates attending the interview will not receive any TA/DA. The Director’s decision regarding candidate selection will be conclusive, and no further correspondence in this matter will be entertained.
